I love this! I know that my kitty helps me deal with things. Definitely get a pet from a shelter. I would have gotten mine there, but he just showed up in our garage as a tiny little fluffy puff of fur 8 years ago after some one dumped a box of kittens by the highway. He wasn’t even weaned yet.
Anyway, pets are always a great addition to any home as long as you are able and willing to care for them.
